Nicki joins us as the Project Manager for the Transitional Care Nurse position (TCN) Following her Occupational Therapist training in Otago, she completed a post-graduate Diploma in Public Health at the University of Otago Medical School.
During her career, she has had roles in New Zealand and Australia. She worked as an Occupational Therapist in an Older Persons Rehabilitation Centre, in a practice specialising in traumatic brain injury and primary/heavy industry work rehabilitation for industries such as farming, coal mining, forestry and transport.
Upon moving to Rotorua, Nicki has had several Project Management roles in primary health administration. Nicki is no stranger to Ranolf and worked with us as a Project Manager on the Transitional Care Nursing service initiative ensuring continuity of care for patients after their discharge from the hospital.
Nicki is fascinated by health care systems – how they work, how complex and interrelated they are, and the numerous factors that influence primary care service delivery.
While she moved to Rotorua for her husband, she has fallen in love with the Rotorua lifestyle; the accessible outdoors, fantastic community spirit and how it’s an awesome place to raise her two young adventurers.
After hours, Nicki enjoys tramping, fishing, hunting or a combination of all! To relax she sews, cooks and is an insatiable reader.
