Hayley was born and raised in Hamilton. After her first undergraduate degree from Otago, she spent some years in the UK working in Genetics and Hospital Administration, then took the plunge and studied to become a doctor at the University of Queensland.
After graduation she came back home to do her junior doctor years at Rotorua Hospital, and 5 years later she is still happily settled in the Lakes district.
Hayley has special interests in health education and public health, and in her spare time is a keen quilter, rides horses and is involved with Brass Banding.
